VTT innovation programme Technologies for Health
VTT, Kaitoväylä 1, Oulu
In this VTT innovation programme we are continuing to develop the technologies for personalized health and well being. The focus is on combining VTT technologies in ICT, biotechnology and diagnostics for future health care providers and for health care industry.
By combining and mining systems biology data, digital health data from different sources, a better understanding of the disease state at the personal level can be generated. Specific biomarkers can aid future diagnostics and therapy decisions and new biosensor technologies are being developed for future molecular diagnostics at point-of-care settings and at home. VTT technologies can be used not only for follow-up of treatment at the individual level, but also for analysis of markers for healthy eating - and support for living at home.
