Hotel Arthur, Vuorikatu 19, 00100 Helsinki, Finland
VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland organizes the colloquium “Science,
Technology and Innovation Systems in Africa and Brazil” in Helsinki on 11-12
August 2010. The event focuses on the dynamics of knowledge in Africa and
Brazil, and highlights recent research papers, experiences and perspectives on
how science, technology and innovation driven development is unfolding in
these two continents.
The colloquium is part of the VTT
research project “Smart Globalization – Charting the Evolving and Specializing
Relationships Between Emerging Economies and High-Tech Industrial Regions.”
The project looks in detail at the evolution of African and Brazilian
knowledge economies, and especially how their development is shaping the
global landscape of innovation. The project is supported by Tekes – Finnish
Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, and runs 2010-2012. For more
