New map application challenges traditional Internet directories and search engines

Tässä.fi service is a map application which is created in collaboration with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The new map application service is developed by Adfore Technologies Oy. The new service is created to reduce information seeking from multiple different sources. Tässä.fi collects all the relevant information from different sources to single webpage.
Adfore is a new technology company which stands behind Tässä.fi service. With
the application companies can offer map-based marketing information to
consumers. The roots of Adfore are in VTT. Adfore is a true result of VTT’s
goal in creating business from technology. Adfore’s business idea resulted
from VTT’s map services developing project. After the project key searchers
established Adfore Oy in collaboration with VTT.

in Tässä.fi service is convenience in user experience. Tässä.fi provides easy
access to information about local services in the area where application user
is located at the time. Paper versions of the advertisements and wide internet
searching for services will soon become useless. Tässä.fi service provides all
the relevant information to users about the local services. Tässä.fi is using
Nokia Ovi -maps application and companies are free to add up-to-date
information to service for example about their location, opening-hours or
special offers.
