Wellness Seminar

The theme of this seminar is the use of ICT in the wellness and healthcare sector, now and in the future. The seminar is organized as part of the Tivit Services Shok project and EIT ICT Labs. The seminar is meant for companies and organizations working in the healthcare and wellness sector and professionals involved in the development of ICT products and services.

VTT will present the research results of a study on business challenges and opportunities of 11 Finnish SMEs that operate in the wellness and healthcare sector. Philips Healthcare will discuss the concept of software product lines, and its application for the compositional platform that underpins their range of healthcare products. The seminar will also address how elderly people are coping at home and what business opportunities, such as new ICT services, this may provide in the context of a Finnish PHR platform for various personal health record services called Taltioni.
