Research background and current research topics

Mr. Tourunen is specialized on experimental research and model based analysis of measurement data. His main research field is fluidized bed combustion processes covering combustion, emission performance and heat transfer. The projects have focused on studying CFB process behaviour to promote development of OTSC CFB technology.

Currently the main focus is on the development of CCS technologies especially oxygen-firing with CFB.
