Senior Scientist at Efficient Machines and Vehicles (MACH) Research Area. Working in noise and vibration, control system, modeling, and virtual reality audio related projects.
Research background and current research topics
Conducting currently doctoral studies on advanced Active Noise Profiling control systems and sound simulation at Aalto University.
Professional experience on digital and analog electronics design, acoustics and audio, signal processing, teaching, and project management. Worked at Institute of Sound and Vibration (ISVR) in Southampton, England as a visiting research scientist in summer 2000.
Author and co-author of over 30 publications in the areas of electro-acoustics and active noise control. Co-holder of a patent in the field of active noise control.
Instructor for 6 Master of Science theses and for 2 Licentiate of Technology theses.
Current major research projects at VTT
Wind turbine noise assessment and audible models. Cabin of the Future, virtual prototyping of moving machinery cabins, especially generation of 3D machinery sound and sound quality assessments.
