Petteri Mannersalo
Current position at VTT
Petteri Mannersalo is Principal Scientist, Network technologies.
Research background and current research topics
Research background:
Modelling of telecommunications systems with
stochastic processes. Traffic and performance analysis of telecommunications
networks, both wired and wireless.
Current research topics:
Development and analysis of future
communications networks. Specific topics include, e.g., network management,
energy efficiency and network coding.
Current major research projects at VTT
The major part of the research has been related to jointly funded national and international projects on telecommunications. Currently, the two most important projects are the EU FP7 UNIVERSELF and ICT-SHOK Future Internet program.
