IPOB Industry

The major question of IPOB Industry project is how could companies better gain from open innovation?

IPOB Industry is a Tekes supported project for the period of 1.5.2008 – 30.4.2011. It is coordinated by Tamlink Oy, the other partners being Arcusys Oy, Blancco Oy, Medisize Oy, Outotec Oyj and Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy. VTT and University of Eastern Finland bring external expertise for the consortium.

The common interest of the IPOB companies is to develop customised practical tools for IP issues supporting decision making in the landscape of open innovation based on the generic knowledge generated in the IPOB Research project. Questions and challenges to be answered include:

• How to manage IP in joint development with multiple parties so that all parties would be satisfied and motivated to give their best?

  
  

• How to effectively utilize open source communities?

  
  

• What would be preferable IP strategy for a system integrator?
