ECO circuit boards

Customer: Premix Oy

Challenge: To develop temperature resistant thermoplastic polymer compound with good mechanical and electrical properties

Solution: VTT has invented new thermoplastic polymer compounds for electronics in “Eco-circuit boards" -project.

Key benefits:

New compounds have good adhesion to copper, high glass transition temperatures, low dielectric losses and low permittivity. Also fire retardant grades with high impact resistance have been developed.
Premix Oy is commercializing and marketing these special materials for following applications:

• Unique High Temperature Film for FPC and printed electronics (PREFLEX)
  
• High Frequency circuit board laminates (PREBOARD)
  
• High temperature resistant material for cables and electronics (PRETECH)
