Active noise control manages vehicle cabin noise

Challenge: Modern car interior requires low noise level, but also predetermined acoustic profile, e.g. luxury, sporty or special acoustic profile.

  

Solution: Vehicle's interior noise is controlled with active noise control (ANC), which changes noise by first measuring it and then modifying the sound with anti-noise. Active Noise Profiling can either attenuate or enhance the noise, based on target profile. The system was developed with advanced simulation tools.

  

 

Key benefits: A predetermined acoustic profile can be created in the car interior.

Car interior sound can be tuned to comply with the car operation, e.g. when accelerating , the car interior sound increases giving feedback of the acceleration to driver.
