Mobile phone into a microscope

Application: Easy to use microscope that attaches to the mobile camera lens with a magnet. It is based on next-generation lens technology, compact structure and customisable additional features.
Features and benefits: Pictures taken at a precision of a hundredth of a millimetre can be reliably measured for professional use. The device can even reach a precision of a thousandth of a millimetre, but the reliability of measurements will decrease when precision increases. Microscopic high-quality photographs can be easily stored on mobile phone and be forwarded as image messages. Compact and durable device is moisture resistant. Microscope makes it possible to use new mobile applications in healthcare, security and quality control.
Commercialisation and business potential: The VTT technology has been licensed out to KeepLoop Oy. The first products are designed for industrial use.
