Ongoing Projects
-
COPE – EC-FP7, Common
Operational Picture Exploitation. The objective of the project is to create
technological solutions which enable improved civil crisis management by
better command and control performance, improved reliability, and reduced
costs. The aim is to create technological solutions that increase situational
awareness among agencies and enhance both horizontal and vertical information
flow to and from a first responder.
-
SmartProducts – EC-FP7,
The project is developing smart products embedded with proactive knowledge,
enabling novel products to communicate and co-operate with humans, other
products and the environment.
-
mCiudad – EC-FP7, m:Ciudad is
developing technology for the user-friendly creation of tools in the mobile,
an optimised mobile execution environment, a model for knowledge warehouse, a
proposed specific search engine and a set of business models for users,
service providers and third parties, mainly SMEs. m:Ciudad is a service
architecture, a set of mobile tools and a platform to allow users to create
focused, knowledge-based mobile micro-services, which are called m:Ciudad U+
Service.
-
Ramose – TEKES, TEKES-funded
national strategic research project on distributed data processing and
decision making and interconnected micro services for small wireless embedded
SW devices.
-
EXPESHARE – ITEA,
ExpeShare develops concepts and technologies that help people share multimedia
content and experiences with each other. The project is also developing
peer-to-peer networking technologies and new interaction concepts for managing
content and communities, and for facilitating rendering of the content on a
variety of devices
-
ROADIDEA – EC-FP7, ROADIDEA is
studying the innovation potential of the European ITS sector by analysing
available data sources, revealing existing problems and bottlenecks for data
utilisation and service build-up. ROADIDEA also makes an effort to develop
better methods and models to be utilised in different service platforms.
-
Callas - EC - FP6. The project is
developing methods for human emotion recognition using non-contact
technologies and also studying how to use human emotions for improving
everyday life experiences.
-
Cantata
- ITEA. The project is developing methods for the analysis of multimedia
content, for example, for the semi-automatic annotation of user-created
content and the classification of TV programs.
