Global innovation landscape is in transition as emerging economies gear up market power and knowledge capacities. Consequently, competitive innovation strategies are in state of flux, as industries, firms, and regions seek to partner with new global innovation hubs. This seminar explores the state of innovation and knowledge potential and possibilities in Brazil and Africa today and the near future.

The seminar focusses on the evolution of Brazilian federal and state level innovation systems, Finnish-Brazilian research cooperation, and ICT innovation in Brazil, and considers broady policy and business strategies in the context of global innovation.

The seminar is organized by VTT as part of the project “Smart Globalization” that has investigated global innovation networks.
