MECOREN - Methods and concepts for sustainable renovation

The Nordic research project MECOREN was carried out in collaboration of VTT, SINTEF (Norway), KTH (Sweden) and SBI (Denmark)

The objective of the project was to

• Develop sustainable concepts for building renovation
  
• Assess the environmental and economical impacts of alternative renovation concepts
  
• Give recommendations about the assessment results
  

The Finnish national part of the project was funded by TEKES, VTT, Senaatti-kiinteistöt, City of Tampere, City of Helsinki and Ilmarinen.
