Linköping November 23, 2011 - REPLICA language design principle poster is presentated in the MCC’11 workshop being held on November 23-25 in Linköping, Sweden.

Kuopio November 4, 2011 - Principal Scientist of VTT, Martti Forsell, gives a presentation on computer architecture in the era of parallel computing at the Computer Science I Like Conference being organized on November 4, 2011 by the University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio, Finland.

Aix-Les-Bains September 8, 2011 - Principal Scientist of VTT, Martti Forsell, gives an invited lecture on Parallelism, Programmability and Architectural Support for Them on Multi-core machine outlining the CESM principles and REPLICA project at the Artist Summer School Europe 2011 that is being organized by the Artist Design EU FP7 network of excellence in Aix-Les-Bains, France.

Bordeaux August 30, 2011 - Principal Scientist of VTT, Martti Forsell and Professor Jesper Larsson Träff organize the 5th workshop on Highly Parallel Processing on a Chip (HPPC’11) on August 30, 2011, Bordeaux France. The keynote speech is given by Rick Hetherington, Vice President, Microelectronics, Oracle Corp, USA.

Las Vegas July 18, 2011 - The REPLICA project has three presentations outlining the ideas studied in the REPLICA project in the 2011 International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Processing Techniques and Applications (PDPTA’11) being held on July 18-21, 2011 in Las Vegas, USA.

Beaune July 4, 2011 - Principal Scientist of VTT, Martti Forsell, gives a presentation on the Multicore Portability Abstraction (MCPA) and outlines the REPLICA project in the 11th International Forum on Embedded MPSoC and Multicore, July 4-8, 2011, Beaune, France.

Vienna June 16, 2011 - The REPLICA project has two presentations outlining the ideas studied in the REPLICA project in the CompSysTech’11 conference being held on June 16-17, 2011 in Vienna, Austria.

Oulu January 20, 2011 - REPLICA project started. VTT launches a large strategically import frontier research project to develop a proof-of-concept prototype of the configurable emulated shared memory machine (CESM) architecture and methodology that promise to give much better performance and simpler programmability than current multicore computers.
