Swedish sister-database "SWINNO"

From September 1st 2008, a new database after the SFINNO concept - SWINNO - has been developed and maintained by the Department of Economic History at Lund University. The initiative is a result of cooperation between researchers from Lund and VTT Innovation Studies. The intention for SWINNO is that it covers Swedish innovations from the period 1996 - 2007. One of the benefits of the new database will be its support for quantitative analysis of Swedish innovation and growth performance, carried out at the CIRCLE research centre for Innovation, Research and Competence in the Learning Economy at Lund University. The SWINNO project is financed by VINNOVA, the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, and will be coordinated by Associate Professors Astrid kander and Jonas Ljungberg from Lund.

If you have an interest to collaborate in research on innovation with us on basis of the SFINNO® database or otherwise, please feel free to take up contact with us.

Please note that we are also interested to get similar databases started abroad in order to allow more comparative research.
