Substantial scientific grant to Johanna Ivaska
The Scientific Council of the European Research Council (ERC) has released the
decisions of its first round of funding. ERC has granted VTT’s Senior Research
Scientist Johanna Ivaska about 1,5 million euros for a five-year long Cancer
Signasones project. ERC accepted 3% of the 9167 ERC Starting Grant
applications.
Johanna Ivaska is the Principal Investigator in the academic Cell adhesion and Cancer research group, working in Turku at VTT and University of Turku Centre for Biotechnology.
ERC aims at strengthening the European research work by funding the best research talents and projects with substantial long-term funding.
