VTT and University of Helsinki conduct research on how extreme weather conditions affect climate change

Floods in cities become more common but storms will not get stronger

VTT and the University of Helsinki have together with the Swedish Meteorological Institute conducted a research using a regional climate model over the Nordic countries to see the effects of the exceptional weather phenomenon as the climate warms up.  Such acclimatization research enables the prediction of the effects of the extreme weather conditions in the environment and buildings.
