A conference for YEAR network by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland
In this conference we will present a selection of practical business examples
arising from scientific research and industry speakers tailored to the
interest of a research scientist. The conference theme is sustainability
ethics. You will also meet other researchers from YEAR organizations and
VTT along with members of the Otaniemi scientific community.
This conference is targeted at all
members of YEAR organizations from all areas of science.

The conference will take place in VTT Technical
Research Centre of Finland.
VTT is located in Otaniemi,
part of the Helsinki metropolis area. There is an international airport in
Helsinki. From the airport you can reach Helsinki downtown for example "by

The program starts each day around 9:00. During the day we will have short
coffee&tea breaks and a long lunch break.

She is an amanuensis and a teacher of professional ethics at the Department of
Forest Sciences at the University of Helsinki. She is an expert on adapting
educational drama to higher education context, and she has written several
articles on using drama as a method in ethics teaching. Currently she is
working on her dissertation considering the potential of drama as an
educational tool in higher education.

There are two hotels for a conference participant to choose from: Hotel
Helka and Hotel Arthur. Both
hotels enjoy central location in downtown Helsinki and are moderately priced.

Applications must be submitted before October 20th, 2010.
Places are limited. Applications are accepted on first come first served basis.
No fee is charged but participants should take care of travel, living, and
accommodation expenses. However, the meals and activities in the program are
covered by the organizers.
